(01/12/12) - 3 boys one plane
Day 1 on world tour 2012 and things have got off to a classy start! The flight was an adventurous 17 and a bit hours! So far we've engaged in some culture by watching the dark knight, playing battleships, pong and tetris and an irish style baguette at dubai airport. There have been some real treats already in particular andy's experience of a raw vegetable and low fat/ low cholest. in flight meal were very special! He's def had his 5 a day and Greg A enjoyed a red hot chilli pepper which he dubbed one of the hottest things he's ever eaten.
021212. Tuk Tuk death race
Fresh off the plane the adventure continued and we have managed to keep the levels of culture high. 10am we immersed ourselves in some local delicacies (Chang beer and pad thai). We have splashed out on some luxury accommodation at the DandD inn and managed to get close to sunstroke within the first 45 minutes whilst asleep on sun loungers on the roof. We finally managed to get a couple of hours of sleep before enjoying some more Thai culture (Chang beer) and then an action packed night out on Khao San Road which involved the local sport of Tuk Tuk racing.
"You want to see ping pong!!!"
A couple of hours later, we tried more local delicacies and mixed with the natives and a Swedish man that looked like Joaquin Pheonix when he had his mental breakdown...nice chap though. Items of exeptional quality were also purchased, with each person buying for the other in a secret santa esque manner. Greg A ended up with a beautiful hat, Greg R with a cocktail umbrella the size of a thai man (3 foot) and Andy with 3 colourful dreads weaved into his hair. All items were kept on at all times as set out prior to the purchase. The night ended with some more Pad Thai and a nap in the luxurious D&D inn. Dench.

Sounds like you are already having a wicked time. I actually laughted out loud at the presents you bought each other, you guys are like totally crazy :-) We need pics of you wearing your gifts. Enjoy your posh hotel. One of my clients at work said dont trust anyone wearing a suit, they will con you. Also, good places to visit in Thailand are Ko Phangan and Ko samui she said they are really lovely and Ko Phangan has really good night life. Look forward to the next installment xxx
